About Mortgagefy

Mortgagefy is a Sydney-based specialist mortgage broker committed to finding the right home loan for every type of borrower. We serve clients Australia-wide, with deep expertise in self-employed lending, first home buyer strategies, investment property finance, waived LMI deals, and Islamic finance products from specialist providers.

As a member of the Mortgage & Finance Association of Australia (MFAA), we are held to industry standards of professional conduct and client-first ethics. We search across our wide panel of lenders — including the major banks, second-tier lenders, and specialist non-conforming providers — to ensure every client is presented with a genuinely competitive solution.

Our service is completely free to borrowers. We are paid a commission by the lender after your loan settles — meaning there is no conflict of interest and no cost to you at any point in the process.

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to common questions about working with Mortgagefy.

No — our service is completely free to you. Mortgage brokers in Australia are paid a commission by the lender after your loan settles. This commission is disclosed in full before you proceed and has no effect on your interest rate or loan terms. You pay nothing at any stage.
For most standard applications, pre-approval takes 2–5 business days once your documents are submitted. Complex scenarios — such as self-employed borrowers, trust structures, or non-standard income — may take 5–10 business days depending on the lender. We will always give you a realistic timeline upfront.
No — while we are based in Sydney, we help clients across all of Australia. The entire mortgage broking process can be handled remotely via phone, email, and video call. We regularly assist borrowers in Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, regional NSW, QLD, and VIC. Location is not a barrier to accessing our service.
A bank decline does not mean you can't get a mortgage — it means that particular bank's policy didn't fit your situation. Specialist and non-conforming lenders have very different criteria. Many of our clients have been approved after 1–3 bank rejections. A broker's job is to find the right lender for your specific circumstances, not to fit you into a single bank's product.
